Gulf of Trieste didn’t betray Melges 24 teams at the Yacht Club Adriaco's 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯, where the 10th event of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟰 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 took place, valid also as 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 and 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟰 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝟰.
3 windy days and on the last day Bora up to 25 knots, wasn’t a hard challenge for the reigning Melges 24 European Champion 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗣𝗔 of Michele Paoletti and Giovanna Micol, who dominated the regatta in their home waters taking six bullets out of nine races, adding two seconds and one third to the score, winning the regatta with a 10-point margin ahead of German 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠 of Michael Tarabochia with Luis Tarabochia helming, finishing Trieste regatta as Corinthian champion.
Another Corinthian team, Miles Quinton’s 𝗚𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 (GBR) with Geoff Carveth at the helm, completed the overall podium, another ten points behind White Room.
𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗘 𝗕𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔 of Sergio Caramel finished fourth and the Hungarian team of Akos Csolto on 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗢𝗞 rounded up Top 5, completing the Corinthian Top 3.

The women and girls inclusion programme got underway this weekend at Lee Valley White Water Centre with adventuringlisa 🙌 The programme will train six women with little or no paddling experience to become Paddlesport Instructors over the next six months.
Once their training is complete, they'll be able to run a ten-week paddling course for local women and girls. The programme will culminate in a #ShePaddles conference during the Canoe Slalom World Championships 🌊

👌Such a delight to meet and paddle with the truly inspiring, Little Miss Adventurous!
💙 Gee is part of #adventurequeens and gutsygirls_
💙She has completed a triathlon of a v different kind - cycling, running and paddle boarding C2C at speed and totally unsupported 👏👏 👏👏👏
💙We have been virtual friends for some time and supported each other from a long distance on each other’s long distance paddle adventures and today we got to paddle together on the beautiful Trent & Mersey Canal.
💙Gee is also an experienced wild camper so it was the perfect opportunity for me ( a complete beginner) to pick her brains on my emerging spreadsheet of mattress pads quilts and pillows for sup camping trips.
💙interestingly Gee is about the same height as me - that is v rare - I’m usually having to look up at folks.
💙Gee is a friend of redpaddleco and it was great to swap our boards to see how they felt. 👌

Today I had the pleasure of guiding Sue on a private coastal micro adventure….where we quietly sat and watched three Harbour Porpoises picking off fish in the cooling light breeze.
Did you know: That Porpoises are affectionately known as “puffing pigs”, due to the explosive noise they make whilst surfacing to breathe….they were certainly puffing away today! They’re also protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
Sue has been a regular at our SUP Club over the last few months and has also attended our SUP + Coastal Skills session. This was a natural next step for Sue. I’m pretty certain she had a great day - I did.

When I get a few moments to myself you can usually find me out on the water in my rib. This is my special place, somewhere I can get away from any troubles or worries, somewhere I feel relaxed and safe.

When I'm out on the water I feel free. There is little phone signal, not many other people around and time away from work surrounded nature. It really is my place of privacy that I can be myself and spend time on me.

But as much as its good to have time to yourself I do love spending time with others. So I have been lucky enough to share my special place with a handful of people so far but I hope to share it with more people in the future.
